What does your business do?
I am a pride planner, event producer and public speaker. My company prepares events for the local community with the aim to boost empathy, visibility, and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Our headline event – Pride in the Park – saw 2,000 attendees in its first year across three stages. We prepare other special projects alongside our core events including podcasts and activations.
Who are your ideal customers and what is their pain point?
We work with value lead companies who are looking to make a difference, promote inclusion or amplify a community’s voice. We do this either through them becoming part of our events / activations or supporting them with their own endeavours.
What differentiates your business?
My business is a community lead company with a corporate mindset. My background in corporate events brings streamlined organisation to a not for profit sector. Plus my infectious enthusiasm!
What is an insight that your customers should know?
One of our main values is “unconditionally inclusive.” Yes we are a Pride company. Yes we are an LGBTQ+ company. We use these labels to mark our events as a safe space, not to exclude anyone.
Who are your ideal partners?
We work with a wide variety of partners, sponsors and grant funders. We want to share this journey with anyone who shares our values and wishes to make a positive change.
What is the next goal/milestone/priority for your business?
Funding our second Pride event in 2025 and expanding our annual event portfolio.
How do you ensure it’s not all work? How do you look after your health?
Go outside every day rain or shine! Working from home can be an excuse to never see daylight, it helps to have a dog and to live in an area with plenty of walking spots.
